Today we: had a very quiet morning focusing on our literacy tasks. Phonics lessons are coming to a close, only 5 lessons left. Literacy Block is a little shorter now to fit CAFE reading in for everyone before snack. Reading conferences are giving me more opportunity to see how fluent everyone is.

Between recess and lunch, we had our human sexuality lesson and today's was explaining the journey of the sperm and what the reproductive system is for people who produce sperm. We matched organ names to definitions, we discussed various events in the journey, and we answered questions from last week and today's questions.

After lunch, we did more math on decimals. Students were given a lesson to refresh the knowledge from before Health took over our math time, and then they worked in their table groups to complete some practice questions.

We tried a calming circle today as our movement break. We did some alternating stretches and wiggles like waving our arms, or a forward fold. We followed this with a 4 count box-breathing exercise with our eyes closed to get back to focus. We went around the circle to say something we were grateful for and then got back to work.

We ended the day with a writing and Flipgrid task to close out the Jumbies. They will be making their final response to the novel before we move onto the next read-aloud, choosing 5 out of 11 questions to respond to.
