Today we: spent the first bit of the morning making goodbye cards to Mr. Scout since he and the Grade 5's will all be saying goodbye to Northern Lights School. Then we watched a video about Canada's history and how it became a country.
At 10:45 the entire school took part in Sports Day. Everyone was dressed in their best beach outfits and there were stations set up all around the school for kids to freely enjoy. At 12:15, the students were given a freezie and calming music was played for a school-wide "Chill Out" while we took notes on how the day was and reflected on the activities.
Remember, the Grade 5 Farewell is on Monday at 2:45pm. We are excited to spend time with our students and their families. We will be doing pajama day on Tuesday since we will be wearing our tie-dye shirts for the Farewell, and we will watch the movie for The City of Ember on Monday before the event. Only 2 more days, pajama day will be really relaxed while we cozy up to our stuffies and have one final day as a class together.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
